摘要: Acquisition of a foreign language is challenging task that becoming increasingly more important in the world nowadays. There evidence suggesting frontal and temporal cortices are involved processing comprehension, but it still unknown whether acquisition recruits additional cortical areas causal manner. For first time, we used transcranial random noise stimulation on parietal brain areas, order to compare its effect words sham, or placebo, condition was also included. This type noninvasive neural enhances activity by boosting spontaneous neurons. Foreign vocabulary tested both immediately seven days after stimulation. We found posterior parietal, not dorsolateral prefrontal cortex sham stimulation, significantly improved memory performance long term. These results suggest directly vocabulary, thus extending “linguistic network” this area.
