摘要: A taxonomic revision of Australian leaioid faunas has reduced, by synonymy, the known Early Carboniferous taxa to three species viz., Hemicycloleaia andersonae (Tasch, 1979), H. grantrangicus 1979) and Rostroleaia carboniferae 1979); Late Permian mitchelli (Etheridge, 1892), discoidea (Mitchell, 1925), deflectomarginis 1979). The establishes a consistent nomenclature facilitate comparisons with extra-Australian leaiid species, their correlations. Particular attention is paid correlation estheriid Newcastle Coal Measures (NCM) Sydney Basin, those Lebedevian Lower Tungus Nordvik Basins, northern Siberia, which in turn, indicate (Lozovsky, 1998) Tatarian Vjatian (Luptug member) horizon Russian Platform. We speculate that conchostracans may have lived estuaries ephemeral relict water bodies along coastal plain, eggs were dispersed either wind, minor marine incursions, or both these processes. Such marginal influences could partly explain widespread distribution Mitchell's (Tatarian) conchostracan species.
