摘要: Scaling quantum information processors is a challenging task, requiring manipulation of large number qubits with high fidelity and degree connectivity. For trapped ions, this could be realized in two-dimensional array interconnected traps which ions are separated, transported recombined to carry out operations on small subsets ions. Here, we use junction connecting orthogonal linear segments (2D) trap reorder two-ion crystal. The secular motion the experiences low energy gain internal qubit levels maintain coherence during reordering process, therefore demonstrating promising method for providing all-to-all connectivity large-scale, two- or three-dimensional trapped-ion processor.
