摘要: 1. The preparation and properties of125I-labelled tetanus toxin are described. 2. After intravenous injection there is a short phase when the labelled rapidly removed from blood plasma. This initial period followed by slow second of decay which has longer duration. The first in very pronounced rabbits, but not rats. Unlabelled equally fast rabbit plasma, as been revealed measuring immunological reactivity (so-called “junction test”) toxicity. 3. Thirty minutes after i.v. administration torabbits about 2/3 radioactive label found liver. highest concentration attained spleen. 24 hours later, bulk excreted urine faeces, indicates catabolism toxin. In therat, liver much less prominent, excretion slower. both species, central nervous system does accumulate more than just measurable quantities label, even if animals given large toxic doses. 4. Sectioning prevents lower extremity. enrichment prevented operated, sham-operated rats. 5.
