An algorithm for functional uncertainty

摘要: The formal device of functional uncertainty has been introduced into linguistic theory as a means characterizing long-distance dependencies alternative to conventional phrase-structure based approaches. In this paper we briefly outline the concept, and then present an algorithm for determining satisfiability acyclic grammatical descriptions containing expressions synthesizing grammatically relevant solutions those descriptions.
