Myocardial Effects of Pericardial Tamponade

摘要: Abstract Through a previously implanted catheter, normothermic normal saline solution was infused into the pericardial sacs of dogs. Sufficient tamponade induced to lower arterial pressure from an average control 160/112 mm. Hg 97/69. Tamponade maintained for 6 hours during constant monitoring arterial, central venous, and pressures. During 72 following tamponade, serial determinations serum creatine phosphokinase, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase, lactic dehydrogenase were made.
