摘要: The last three decades has seen the rapid evolution of a variety DNA-based molecular markers that are powerful tools for genome analysis and marker-trait association (MTA) studies. Recently, high-throughput sequence-based methods have been developed use in plant breeding. Sequence-based include simple sequence repeats (SSRs; also known as microsatellites) single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), which now dominate applications modern genetic analysis. Insertion site-based (ISBPs), copy number variations (CNVs) presence absence (PAVs) constitute another group being applied systems. Markers may be used purposes including diversity analysis, linkage-based QTL mapping, LD-based mapping marker assisted selection (MAS). Large datasets (including both, genomic sequences expressed sequences) available many cereals, enabling mining large numbers SSRs, SNPs, ISBPs CNVs/PAVs. Recombination bins genotyping populations crops such rice, where reference available. In this chapter we describe discovery application using automated sequencing platforms those based on next generation (NGS).
