摘要: Geothermal resources exist on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Lands (PLPTL) in northwestern Nevada. We compiled numerous indicators of these into a geographic information system along with concurrent investigative results. This effort required acquisition and analysis spaceborne multispectral airborne hyperspectral remote sensing data for early-stage geothermal exploration. identified minerals such as alunite, kaolinite, montmorillonite through indicating regions hydrothermally altered rock associated areas potential. Tertiary volcanic granitic rocks also contain indicator minerals. Quaternary environments displayed gypsum-bearing evaporite crusts that we postulate were deposited by sulfate-rich thermal waters. Throughout PLPTL, tufa towers shoreline deposits are extensively distributed remnants paleo-lake Lahontan. Based measured spectra calcium carbonate, mapped elucidating strike direction faults. Additionally, correlated remotely-derived maps climate-related changes lake level. Our mapping results helped guide detailed exploration efforts to most
