摘要: Implementing environmental sustainability programs across university campuses presents both opportunities and challenges. The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) launched a coordinated approach to in 2008. This paper case study UTS’s Environmental Sustainability Initiative (ESI). It begins by outlining the aims governance structures for initiative which consists Steering Committee; Committee Working Group Heads then working groups six focus areas energy, transport, procurement, water, waste, planning design, also reporting communications. describes development consultation processes, final outcomes, three strategy documents climate change (energy), transport use (procurement). We discuss role that such groups, together with other support structures, can play creating more sustainable university, offer practical guidance universities organisations undergoing organisational sustainability. some challenges emerged as: how engage staff students develop shared aspirations reflect these tangible objectives, targets actions; evolve implement strategies create higher education institution.
