摘要: Decision-makers can choose between three broad classes of policy instruments to manage ecosystem services: incentives, disincentives, and enabling measures. This chapter reviews the conceptual empirical literature on examples from each these in context tropical forest services management. We propose a framework for evaluation management options that highlights performance measures potential trade-offs environmental socioeconomic objectives formulate interrelated areas future research needs toward: (1) dealing with uncertain spatiotemporal dynamics services, (2) measuring costs benefits services’ provision, (3) developing rigorous approaches evaluating set implementation settings.
