摘要: This article presents a novel method of plant classification using Gabor wavelet filters to extract texture in foliar surface. The aim this promising is add the results obtained by other leaf attributes (such as shape, contour, color, among others), increasing, therefore, percentage species. To corroborate efficiency technique, an experiment 20 species from Brazilian flora was done and discussed. are also compared with Fourier descriptors cooccurrence matrices. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
