摘要: Summary: The anti-diarrheal effect of methanol extract (ME) seeds Monodora tenuifolia Benth (Annonaceae), a wildly growing orchid flowering tree whose seed is traditionally used as antidiarrhea remedy, was studied using rodent models diarrhea, enteropooling and gastrointestinal motility induced by castor oil. Acute toxicity lethality (LD 50 ) phytochemical constituents ME were also evaluated. results showed that significantly ( P <0.05) reduced the watery texture number fecal droppings over 4 h.
