摘要: SUMMARY As a semi-active control device, magnetorheological (MR) dampers have been paid more attention because of their high controllability, fast response and low power requirement. When MR are used for vibration mitigation, some challenge topics must be taken into account, such as design method, performance study intelligent algorithm. In this paper, detailed process damper involving the geometry magnetic circuit is carried out, multistage shear-valve mode designed manufactured. Then tested to investigate influence current, displacement amplitude excitation frequency on damper's mechanical behavior energy dissipation performance. At same time, target values compared with experimental results. Comparison results show that proposed method holds promise in designing optimizing damper. Finally, modified Sigmoid model proposed. between data numerical indicate can accurately describe behaviors Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
