摘要: This research investigated Capability Maturity Models (CMMs) / Model Integration (CMMI) best practices and their effects on managing mitigating critical issues associated with offshore development. Using a web-based survey, data were collected from 451 Information Technology (IT) software development firms in the US. The results of analysis show that IT companies applying CMM/CMMI models have fewer offshoring. When US utilizing incorporating different Team Software Process (TSP) People CMM into CMMI-DEV/SVC is CMMI for Development Services (CMMI-DEV/SVC) Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ), they offshoring related to language barriers cultural differences.
