Publishing reference geodata on the web: Opportunities and challenges for IGN France

摘要: The French national mapping agency (IGN) produces several different but complementary geographic vector reference databases delivered in traditional GIS formats. However, linked data users have expectations and habits, such as the need to browse an entire catalogue RDF using "follow-your-nose" navigation capacity from one graph another. Besides, formats are not interoperable with RDF. Yet, all these datasets could be used benefits on Web of data, either direct georeferencing through primitives, or indirect postal addresses. In this paper, we aim contribute published by providing resources for context. Firstly, propose two vocabularies designed representing structured geometries defined coordinates expressed any Coordinates Reference System (CRS).
