摘要: We analyzed prevalence, risk factors and hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype distribution in different population groups Croatia the context of HCV epidemiology Europe, with aim to gather all existing information on infection which will be used advise upon preventive measures. It is estimated that 35000-45000 Croatian chronically infected HCV. Like other European countries, there have been changes over past few decades. In some (polytransfused hemodialysis patients), a significant decrease prevalence was observed after introduction routine screening blood/blood products 1992. Injecting drug users (IDUs) still represent group highest for ranging from 29% 65%. Compared general (0.9%), higher rates were found prison populations (8.3%-44%), human immunodeficiency virus-infected patients (15%), persons high-risk sexual behavior (4.6%) alcohol abusers (2.4%). Low/very low reported children adolescents (0.3%) as well blood donors (0%-0.009%). addition, genotypes has changed due routes transmission. population, 1 3 are most widely distributed (60.4%-79.8% 12.9%-47.9%, respectively). The similar behavior. Genotype predominant IDUs (60.5%-83.9%) while equally (52.4% 47.6%). Data transmission useful implementation measures screening.
