摘要: Abstract Hydrochemical quality of groundwater in an aquifer central Iran adjacent to Kavir desert was analyzed this study. The dominant type the area is Na + K_Cl + SO4 which mainly different from common fresh waters (Ca_HCO 3 ). spatial distribution anions and cations as well EC obeys increasing pattern eastwards. Due high concentrations SO 4 2− , Cl − K + Na all water samples are not categorized suitable ranges for drinking use. Regarding agricultural use suitability regional groundwaters, except parts study show salinity hazard, other absolutely applicable agriculture due extremely values EC. Illegal pumping during recent years has caused degradation saline intrusion eastern areas (central salt lake) connate upcoming deeper aquifers. As main contributed agriculture, implementing modern mechanized irrigation techniques accompanied by planting crops with low demand tolerance against may be recommended.
