摘要: Objective. The first quantitative analysis of the innervation lumbar intervertebral disc is presented. Methods. A sheep model was used allowing evaluation whole motion segment. Four spines were used. One processed for PGP 9.5 immunofluorescence and three immunoperoxidase histochemistry. count made densities endplate anulus, these compared. Results. There no significant difference between anulus densities. concentrated centrally adjoining nucleus. richest area in perianular connective tissue. Discussion. has a meager innervation. This tissue central endplate. Although receptor threshold more closely related to nociceptive function than density, findings have important implications any treatment discogenic pain.
