摘要: Abstract The effects of microwave heating patterns were investigated for the case batch fluidized bed drying by solving numerically a coupled heat and mass transfer model. Three patterns, uniform, sinusoidal rectangular waves, examined with average electric field strength kept constant at 1000 V / m . Properties apple used to represent porous materials. results show that magnitude distribution moisture, temperature pressure within particle can be significantly affected. More importantly, time energy consumption change pattern how is applied. Particularly, intermittent wave has most but shortest time. For size 5 mm , airflow rate 2 s 60°C, area factor fA 100, is, respectively, 1600, 2000, 2400 rectangular, sinusoidal, heating. values consumed three cases are, 2145, 1980, 1560 kJ kg water evaporated.
