摘要: Multivariate analysis of plant community data primarily involves ordination and classification. The analyzed are abundance or/and cover values species recorded for a number samples, resulting in species-by-samples matrix observations. such has three general aims: (1) to identify similar, redundant (2) outliers (samples very different from all other samples), (3) elucidate relationships among samples. (Alternatively may concern or both but simplicity only samples discussed here). These aims correspond aspects the with underlying biological processes requirements mathematical analysis, be characterized as follows.
