摘要: Machinability of Inconel-718 superalloy in conventional approach is poor—this fact necessitates advanced technological adoption such as improved surface topography over used cutting tool. Recently, the performance textured tool has been investigated to explore its potential benefits achieving favourability machining superalloy. In that context, impact texturing, speed and time on some prominent machinability indices like forces, wear, finish chip morphology deliberately investigated. The comparison non-textured conducted at 80, 120 180 m min−1 successive increment times up 10 min. Moreover, scanning electron microscope analysis worn edges was carried out comprehend wear mechanism. Furthermore, thermal done for dedicated tooling condition. Results revealed performs better ensure lower (VB), reduced forces (Fc), roughness (Ra) acceptable form chips. spots acted fins promote efficient heat transfer from zone effective chip–tool contact length cause less friction.
