摘要: We have embedded an artificial atom, a superconducting transmon qubit, in open transmission line and investigated the strong scattering of incident microwave photons (similar to 6 GHz). When input coherent state, with average photon number N << 1 is on resonance we observe extinction up 99.6% forward propagating field. use two-tone spectroscopy study from excited states electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT). then EIT make single-photon router, where can control what output port incoming signal delivered. The maximum on-off ratio around 99% rise fall time order nanoseconds, consistent theoretical expectations. router easily be extended multiple ports it viewed as rudimentary quantum node, important step towards building information networks.
