摘要: This paper examines the relationship between antidumping filings and macroeconomic factors. We show that real exchange rate fluctuations affect two criteria for dumping in opposite ways, making overall effect on ambiguous theory. Interestingly, no such ambiguity is evidenced data. Examining filing patterns of four major users AD law during 1980–98 period we find rates domestic GDP growth both have statistically significant impacts filings. Bilateral data indicate a one-standard deviation appreciation currency increases by 33% while fall 23%.
