摘要: Water utilities install and maintain domestic water meters but so far in some customer meters are replaced on a run-to-fail basis. In countries there is not yet mandatory requirement to replace meters. Most Australian required have meter replacement programs, still limited understanding of meter accuracy performance with in-situ age, particularly when considering its starting or minimum registration level (Qs). As consequence, fleet can become less accurate (i.e. under over register flow) also the minimum registration increase, thereby resulting in higher volumes unaccounted for water. To remedy this situation, an of water consumption patterns, at lower flow rate levels, needs be investigated order understand effect that aged Qs will have business; such account for significant sum lost revenue may be case earlier. To obtain necessary data categorisation task, standard council residential needed Actaris CTS-5 (new meters as 2010-11). These smart measure resolution 72 pulses/L pulse every 0.0138L. The were connected Aegis Data Cell series R-CZ21002 loggers. loggers programmed record counts at five second intervals recorded sent weekly basis via GSM/GPRS network to assigned server system. Each logger was wired meter, labelled activated prior to installation. According metrological characteristic new Qs (i.e., rate) 2L/hour (or 0.033L/min). Theoretically, less than cannot measured. The aim technical report average volume used by a typical residential household each category < 5 L/hr; 6-10 L/hr). This data will assist modelling typical meters in Melbourne, elsewhere. High obtained from 400+ smart meters South East Queensland (SEQ) Melbourne utilised problem.
