摘要: Soot formation process was examined by high speed photographs, using a single combustion diesel engine with transparent swirl chamber. Fuel-air mixture and flames, soot clouds were visualized the schlieren method back-illuminated method, respectively. A three dimensional simulation program oxidation models developed to clarify processes. The consist of several previously proposed partly improved in this study. Good agreement obtained between calculated experimental results. following points clarified through observation numerical studies: main area is considerably smaller than luminous flame area, especially initial process; cloud first appears tip region fuel-air mixture, downstream ignition position few submilliseconds after ignition. It carried down from gas flow; temperature more influential formation, rather fuel vapor concentration.
