摘要: Pediculosis caused by human head louse, Pediculus humanus capitis De Geer (Anoplura: Pediculidae) is a public health problem with high prevalence, especially among children in school age. Different chemical pediculicides (insecticides) are used against lice but the repeated application of these for treatment P. infestation past decades has resulted development resistance. The plant essential oils have been as alternative sources agents. Pediculicidal activity three Origanum species (O. onites, O. majorana and minutiflorum) adults was examined this study. Essential from aerial parts were obtained hydrodistillation using Clevenger-type apparatus. specimens infested combing method at primary schools. Adult exposed to dilutions (1%, 0.5% 0.1% w/v) tested 5 min adult immersion test. According results, all 1% concentration shown significantly decrease rate limb, bowel abdomen movements, producing more than 90% mortality after 12 h. Our results indicated that can be new louse.
