摘要: The present invention relates to a means and method for decreasing the energy distribution of ions produced from solid or liquid samples by pulsed desorption method. More particularly, discloses wherein kinetic energies are related their locations at given time after excitation event which caused desorption. Based on this relationship between ion position energy, an accelerating electric field is applied predetermined event. magnitude its application such that substantially reduced eliminated.
