摘要: Abstract: The international conferences on modern and fossil dinoflagellates, held every 3–5 years, are an essential forum for all researchers of dinoflagellates. They bring together aspects this important group protists, whether living or preserved as fossils. Dinoflagellates component the plankton, both autotrophs heterotrophs, but also include representatives that inhabit cells other organisms (including dinoflagellates) endosymbionts parasites. were initiated in 1978 a Penrose Conference Geological Society America have continued ever since. latest conference, Dino 9, continues tradition bringing phycologists working biologists, geneticists, ecologists public health scientists with palynologists within disciplines earth science, geography biology. paramount impact series is interdisciplinary cross-fertilization ideas between these two otherwise disparate groups, spreading their acquired specialist knowledge from one to other. This set extend into future continue its role integrating furthering study dinoflagellates cysts.
