STABILITY ANALYSIS OF DIGITAL PD CONTROL APPLIED TO FLEXIBLE SYSTEMS

摘要: The work shows that the sampling in a digital PD controller of flexible system may cause instability, while continuous control is stable. A procedure introduced to defme stability regions analytically gain space. closed form criterion derived for consists single rigid mode and one mode. applied successfully also case considering computation time addition period. comparison with literature this straightforward, gives more accurate result even corrects some published literature. computer program constructed using MA TLAB determine region arbitrary number modes. This simulates many practical systems such as robot arms, disk-drive servos antenna systems. results show can be approximated by right triangle Analytical expressions are triangles.
