A new genus and two new species of Tenuipalpidae (Prostigmata: Tetranychoidea) from an Australian sedge

摘要: We describe 2 new species Prolixus corruginus sp. nov. and forsteri a genus, Prolixus, of unusually narrow, elongate Tenuipalpidae (Acari: Tetranychoidea) parasitic on an Australian sedge, Gahnia aspera sensu lato (Cyperaceae). Species have so far been collected only in southeast Queensland. gen. share characters with the genus Afronychus Meyer including presence dorsal setae e2 nude genua IV, Dolichotetranychus Sayed III IV.
