摘要: Objectives: To investigate if live births conceived in months when surface water agrichemicals are highest at greater risk for birth defects. Methods: Monthly concentrations during 1996–2002 of nitrates, atrazine and other pesticides were calculated using United States Geological Survey's National Water Quality Assessment data. defect rates from 1996 to 2002 Centers Disease Control Prevention natality data sets. Birth by month last menstrual period (LMP) then compared pesticide/nitrate means logistical regression models. Results: Mean April–July. Total defects, eleven 22 subcategories, more likely occur with LMPs between April July. A significant association was found the season elevated defects. Conclusion: Elevated April–July coincided higher defects While a causal link cannot be proven this study an might provide clues common factors shared both variables.
