摘要: Process intensification aims at reducing the size of equipment by orders magnitude and is actively perused in separation processes. Its feasibility Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) processes has been explored. A 4-bed PSA a 3-bed PSA, which emulate moving bed processes, duplex modified have selected for exploratory studies. Simulation studies on mixture CH4–CO2 over 5A zeolite were carried out to compare performance these An index proposed quantify process intensification. The exhibited superior compared other two purity 99.9 mol% both products. However, performances than comparable when purities set 95 mol%. In modest four times reduction energy requirement appears be feasible if benchmarked against based variant Skarstrom cycle.
