摘要: Labour is one of the key components unit rates for bill quantities items. One major challenges facing estimators when pricing bills tendering their inability to quickly lay hands on proper information about labour thereby resulting in high variability tender prices among contractors bidding building contracts Nigeria. These are standards, usually given as constants form time necessary manual completion a defined quantity work (standard (st), or output, standard output (sop) specified working time). The aim this study was improve reliability and assist effective project planning control. Consequently, survey carried out ten organized sites south east states Nigeria with view evolving appropriate processes (concrete block work). were selected using purposive/judgmental sampling technique. Work used evolve involved full scale each operations that make up activity process. This done by observing recording stopwatches; start finish durations operation per shift different cycles well measuring gang eight-hour day. A three-time estimate formula most probable complete makes an relative performed. Students t-statistic mean score index analysis. tradesmen also required outputs tasks. evolved more realistic than claimed and, therefore recommended veritable tools pricing. will reduce level sum contending contractors. It further control through determination optimal force execution
