摘要: Perceptual learning studies indicate that stimulus preexposure enhances subsequent learning, while latent inhibition retards learning. An analysis of the two paradigms suggests predictions in regard to effects must take into account not only novelty stimulus, but relationship environment at time testing. Two with identical designs, one children and rats, are reported. In both studies, enhancement is achieved when a new presented an old or as compared either • environment. This demonstrates perceptual shows direction dependent on relative A two-process theory based enhancing salience through conditioning arousal proposed for pattern results.
