Radiation and Optics in Dielectric Media

摘要: Maxwell’s discovery of the equations electromagnetism is one greatest triumphs scientific method, and great unifications. Not only were electricity magnetism shown to be two aspects a single phenomenon, but physical optics was included as well. In this chapter we discuss radiative solutions Maxwells in charge-free regions. We show how these have bearing on refraction, reflection, diffraction light, also energy momentum are carried by electromagnetic field.
