摘要: Hyaluronan (HA) is a glycosamminoglican involved in cell biology as well relevant polymer for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Megakaryocytes (Mks) are immersed mesh of extracellular matrix (ECM) components that regulate their maturation the bone marrow (BM) release platelets into bloodstream. While fibrous ECMs such collagens fibronectin have been demonstrated to differently Mk function platelet release, role HA, fills majority BM interstitial space, has not investigated so far. Here we that, although human Mks express HA receptors, they affected by terms vitro differentiation, formation. Importantly, chemical properties were exploited generate hydrogels with entrapped represent useful model more closely mimic tridimensional characteristics environment studying function. In conclusion, this work an ideal candidate 3D ex vivo ECM component environment.
