摘要: Linking water and land is essential in planning for the future of western United States. We propose concept ‘water-smart growth’ explore its implications through incorporating considerations into SLEUTH land-use model. The urban growth trajectory Cache County, Utah, modeled from 2007 to 2030 under four different scenarios: current trend; smart growth; water-smart with moderate implementation; full implementation. Comparisons simulation results illustrate extent ways which would alter established patterns. approach represents an initial step better integrate modeling planning. This study's purposes are provide improved understanding representation linkages between urbanizing environments, offer insights a set options, demonstrate significance integrating practices.
