摘要: It is well established that depressed patients show a blunted TSH response in the TRH-stimulation test. However, it has not been investigated so far whether pre-treatment with 3,5,3'-triiodothyronine (T3) able to further suppress TRH-induced or may cause an escape-phenomenon paradoxically enhanced stimulation subsequent TRH In 20 drug-free (eight men, 12 women) suffering from major depressive episode according DSM-IV criteria and age- sex-matched healthy controls, single test (administration of 200 microg at 09:00 h) was carried out followed by combined T3/TRH (pre-treatment 40 T3 23:00 h night before; administration next day). Compared showed significantly percentage suppression after comparable (61.07%) volunteers (64.20%). Prolactin secretion did differ between controls either Apparently, contrast hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenocortical (HPA) system, no disturbance feedback control regulation hypothalamo-pituitary-thyroid (HPT) axis can be demonstrated when using
