摘要: The seemingly simple problem of determining the drag on a body moving through very viscous fluid has, for over 150 years, been source theoretical confusion, mathematical paradoxes, and experimental artifacts, primarily arising from complex boundary layer structure flow near at infinity. extensive literature this is reviewed, with special emphasis logical relationship between different approaches. survey begins development matched asymptotic expansions, concludes discussion perturbative renormalization-group techniques, adapted quantum field theory to differential equations. calculations lead new prediction coefficient, one which can both reproduce surpass results asymptotics.
