Chapter 9 Membrane Bioreactors: Theory and Applications to Wastewater Reuse

摘要: Abstract Membrane bioreactors (MBRs) combine biological and membrane treatments to effectively remove contaminants from wastewaters. As such, MBRs are ideally suited for wastewater reuse applications. The present chapter provides a general overview of MBRs, describing the basic fundamental processes that govern performance these systems, as well discussing expected removal efficiencies can be achieved different groups concern. Recent published literature on use applications is summarized tabulated in an easily referenced format.
