Dependency and Constituency in Translation Shift Analysis

摘要: Exploiting data from a parallel treebank recently developed for Italian, English and French, the paper discusses issues related to development of dependency-based alignment system. We focus on linguistic expressions constructions which are structurally different in languages that have be aligned, how deal with them using dependency rather than constituency. In order analyze particular shifts syntactic structure, we present selection cases where dependencybased constituency-based representation has been applied compared.
