摘要: Background: Common laparoscopic colorectal procedures in patients with Crohn's disease include ileocolic resection and subtotal colectomy. The aim of this study was to compare contrast the results these two procedures. Methods: Patients who underwent one between June 1992 January 1999 were identified included study. Statistical analysis performed using Mann-Whitney test, Student's t-test, or Fisher's exact test. Results: In all 109 (63 women 46 men) an average age 36.7 years (range, 15-74) (ICR), while 21 (16 five 36.5 18-77) colectomy (STC) (p = NS). There 14 intraoperative complications, eight (7%) ICR group six (29%) STC 0.01). Total operative time 167 min 90-285) 231 140-340) < Despite difference operating time, hospital stays very similar at 8.8 days 3-27) 3-14) 19 (17%) (24%) patients, their procedure converted a laparotomy group, 20 (18%) had surgery-related postoperative including anastomotic leaks. leaks Conclusion: Although is far more extensive than ICR, overall complication rate not significantly different groups; however, we found that there complications associated STC.
