Chemotaxonomy and geographical distribution of tropane alkaloids

摘要: This review illustrates the distribution of tropane alkaloids within families Solanaceae, Erythroxylaceae, Proteaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Rhizophoraceae, Convolvulaceae and Cruciferae. Whereas are characteristic genera Datura, Brugmansia (tree datura) Duboisia is more widespread with novel derivatives in not traditionally associated these bases. The chemical nature recently discovered water-soluble calystegines di- trimeric forms from (e.g. schizanthines Schizanthus spp.), truxillines Bolivian coca leaves moonines Erythroxylum moonii highlighted. Where possible appropriate, links between phytochemistry taxonomy discussed.
