摘要: A ground network of 12 stations continuously monitoring soil moisture and temperature at various depths has been recently set up over an experimental site 4km2 in the Capitanata plain (Southern Italy). The calibration instrumentation is progress. long-term high resolution observations will be well-suited for SAR-derived product validation. Moreover, also associated with hydrologic agricultural model activities, aim combining land process models Earth Observation improving applications, such as flood/drought crop yield forecast. Indeed, a crucial area Mediterranean basin studying impact climate changes anthropogenic pressure on water availability/demand wheat production.
