摘要: We used data from a statewide frog monitoring network to investigate pop- ulation turnover and synchrony in eight wetland-breeding species. found that subpop- ulations at many sites turn over frequently, with breeding choruses absent or undetectable most years. Frequencies of detection across were significantly associated the density wetland patches (all species) areal extent several terrestrial land cover categories (seven within 1 km. Intraspecific population fluctuations statisti- cally synchronized between survey separated by up 50-100 km, but was not strong. Anuran abundances correlated rainfall 1-4 years earlier, indicating influences fluctuations. However, much weaker than synchrony. Managers attempting maintain amphibian populations regionally should focus on maintaining landscapes high densities wet- lands sufficient upland habitat resources. The dynamic nature individual wetlands is well known, our results suggest species distributions landscape level are similarly dynamic.
