摘要: Daily xylem sap flux values (daily Js) and maximum (max from 125 tropical trees different study sites in the Neotropics were compared. A cross species site relationship was found between daily values. The can be expressed as Js=6.5x max Js. geometrical of a given day is thus defining rates. Assuming bell-shaped diurnal course relatively constant length only possible changing variable to define fluxes. Further, this showing inertia physical object highlights delayed response environmental changes its subsequent inevitable susceptibility under stress hydraulic failure.
