摘要: Gender inequality has been in existence as much the humans themselves. The South African women and girls like many other societies around world are also suffering from lack of opportunities whilst men still receive favorable treatment. government Africa engaged promotion Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) part empowerment projects for Black people since attainment democratic rule 1994. Entrepreneurship continues to play an integral role economy well economies developing countries world. creation new businesses activities contributes economic growth, job creation, better livelihood involved communities which surround them. However, there a participation entrepreneurship Africa. Women continue shy away starting SMEs. Research reveals that approximately 6, 2 percent adult were SMEs 2015. This is appalling situation if going achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG, goal number five encourages States ‘Achieve gender equality empower all girls’. aim this paper identify challenges faced by female entrepreneurs Africa, makes their survival difficult within patriarchal society.The empirical analysis based largely on data information available sources such journals, dissertations, thesis, books, conference reports, internet sources, policy briefs relating entrepreneurship.
