摘要: Data from two waves of the Social Environment and Biomarkers Aging Study in Taiwan were analyzed to determine effects custodial grandparenting on health a longitudinal sample. Self-reported measures respondents' perception their health, six biomarkers, presence twelve diseases, measure stress included. Custodial Grandparents (CGPs) significantly more likely report worse than peers. However, there no significant differences CGPs only different non-custodial grandparents (nCGPs) regarding lower respiratory disease. Results suggest that do not have nCGPs, but feeling less healthy. This disparity is suspected be due energy levels or sources assessed by variables original study. These results implications based upon stress-coping model elucidate need design interventions incorporate East Asian cultural values practices order promote better outcomes for CGP populations overall.
