摘要: Paediatric overweight and obesity is recognised as one of Australia's most significant health problems effective approaches to increasing physical activity reducing energy consumption are being sought urgently. Every potential approach setting should be subjected critical review in an attempt maximise the impact policy program initiatives. This paper identifies strengths limitations schools a for promoting activity. The are: children adolescents attend school; young people likely see teachers credible sources information; provide access facilities, infrastructure support required activity; workplace skilled educators. Potential those students who like school least engage health-compromising behaviours influenced by based programs; there about 20 more hours per week available outside than during hours; enormous demands already made on schools; many primary have low levels perceived competence teaching education fundamental movement skills; opportunities active at may not consistent with how when prefer active.
