摘要: Although sled dogs are one of the most specialized groups dogs, their origin and evolution has received much less attention than many other dog groups. We applied a genomic approach to investigate spatiotemporal emergence by sequencing genomes 10 modern Greenland an ~9500-year-old Siberian associated with archaeological evidence for technology, ~33,000-year-old wolf. found noteworthy genetic similarity between ancient dogs. detected gene flow from Pleistocene wolves, but not American present-day The results indicate that major ancestry traces back Siberia, where dog-specific haplotypes genes potentially relate Arctic adaptation were established 9500 years ago.
